How to add and modify alert message in infopath 2010?

I need help with changing the default alert message in infopath 2010 and also I want to add my own additional alert messages. I want to specify error report for each field. As for example first name cannot be empty, cannot start with number etc. Is there any way? How to do so? Please help me.

How to add and modify alert message in infopath 2010?

Hi Kristin,

 

1)    One way is to change the system file intlcorestrings.js,which is located at  C:Program FilesCommon FilesMicrosoft SharedWeb Server Extensions14TEMPLATELAYOUTSINCintlcorestrings.js .This file contains the  default error messages or strings constant for infopath forms.

2)    After the form is submitted the infopath displays a message whether form is successfully submitted or fails. To change this message follow these steps.

Go to Advance.

Select use custom message  check box, type your message in on success and on failures textbox. If you do not want to display any message once the form is submitted then clear show  success and  failure  message check box.
