Need an overview of Skype translating speech and its limitations

When will we get this facility in Skype software? How many languages can be translated? Which operating system is needed to use this? Is it translated voice and text, both inputs? Can it translate bad word also? Is there any limitation? Is it also available on Smart phones, or Tablets? Thank You

Need an overview of Skype translating speech and its limitations

Hello Juan!

The supported platforms are Windows Vista, XP, Windows 8 and 8.1 and Windows 7. It supports 44 languages which is the same with Google’s supported languages. The on-screen translation of your call is displayed in your screen and text screen to language (vice-versa). So far Skype do have some lapses in translating names or hard to pronounce last names. There’s no way that you can use profanity in this translator. It can remove it from the translation process.
