Receiving Text Messages on my PC possible?

Hello everyone! I was thinking that instead of a mobile, is it possible that I have the ability to receive a SMS/text message? Is there some way for me to sign-up for some type of service that would allow me to receive text messages from someone on my computer and/or Android tablet? Thank you!

This is a very good question!

Off course there are many android applications that you can download for free and use to send SMS messages. One of this is “Mighty Text.” Using your android phone number you can send SMS and MMS easily.  The hardest part of this application is that it will only work with android devices.

You have to download this software and app from their website. After installing the software for your computer you need to also download the app to your Android phone.

They will also provide you step-by-step installation process. Changes will be made also in your browser so please read first the instruction because it might give you conflict after installation. The best feature of this app is that it will let you mark your favorite messages, display your battery’s life and status, notifications for incoming calls, received, calls, dialed number and missed calls. Most important for this is that is for “free.”
