Hello! As we all know that in big organizations and offices, data must be kept at more than one place so in case of data loss, useful data can be retrieved. I want to know what are some of the methods to back up data which includes each time interval after which data undergoes a back up procedure? What kind of storage devices are used to back up data considering the fact that the amount of data is huge?

Tips for backing up data

You need to determine the data back up procedure based on what you are running. If it is a personal computer and you have huge for back you can but two external hard disk and can take back periodically in both the hard disk. In case if one fails another one will provide the backup.

If you are running any server then you need to buy a back up server and storage device based on your data and future growth. There are various data backup method  you can apply to take backup of the data. Like Incremental back up, Differential back up, System imaging back up, continuous data protection etc. There are so many company which provides solution for the back up. One of most popular back solution provided is Symantec.

You need to determine the backup solution based on your requirement and budget. This backup can be automated which will take backup automatically every time there is new data.
