If the background music is attached to the website from an external source, then you can download it, from that particular source. For this purpose, you will have to right click on the page and click on 'View page source'. It opens a new tab. Over there, press ctrl+F and search for .MP3 / .OGG/ .WMA.

Otherwise, you may capture any sound playing in your computer using the following software:-

Whenever you want to capture a playing audio or music from a website, the easiest way for me is to use the Opera browser and install a plug-in or extension called Audio Downloader Prime. It is one of the many Opera add-ons that will allow you to download any playing audio from a website. It can even capture the background music and sound effects of a browser game.

Audio Downloader Prime Opera add-on

The add-on allows you to quickly download popular audio formats right within the browser’s toolbar panel window. It is an add-on that is designed to download audio contents only and was developed as a companion to Video Downloader Prime. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work on YouTube to capture audio content because of Google and YouTube policies and restrictions.

I’ve been using this Opera add-on for quite some time now to download mp3 files on SoundCloud and it works very well for me. If you want to try Opera, download Opera for Windows PC.
