1 Terabyte Hard Disk size

Hello,

I am using 1 TB (Tera Byte) Maxtor Hard drive. Suppose I don’t know the size of my hard drive. I tried it to find out about Computer Properties but I couldn't. How can I know the size of my hard disk without adding each driver space, or how can I know the total size of hard disk in a simple way?

1 Terabyte Hard Disk size

There are several processes to identify the size of hard drive for your PC. I mention it below:

a. Right click on the my computer icon.

b. Then select the manage link.

c. Then a window appeared named computer management.

d. In there you select storage menu.

e. Then you select disk management.

f. There you find the size of your hard disk in disk 0 sections.

g. If you have more hard disk in your computer then it goes to disk 1 section, then disk 2 and so on.

h. 1 terabyte hard drive generally shows 931 gigabytes as some of its portions used by the virtual memory of your computer.

Hello,

Normally i got all out and explain in long details but that is not an issue right now depending on whether or not your drive is partitioned this will be an easy one two step.

If your drive is not partitioned then simply find and run command prompt (cmd) then type,

C: (note where c is replacing it with your drive letter)

At the top you will see how much space is free, the result is displayed in bytes.

Now type chkdsk this will initiate the disk checking process at the end of the check it will display your hard drive information.

And that's it you get your information easy right.
