Installed the Windows 8 Pro x64 and tried to reinstall CCleaner

Hi,

I recently installed the Windows 8 Pro x64 and tried to reinstall CCleaner but the Skip UAC option gave me the warning message. What did wrong with the program? How can I solve this matter? Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there Shaun L Day,

Have you downloaded the latest version of the CCleaner that matches your OS and system? There was a known problem in older versions so you weren't able to use CCleaner on the Windows 8, but the new version of the software should solve those problems. Also, it would be great to update Windows too.

Another thing to do is to disable your antivirus software as it may be blocking the installation.
