I need help to fix the 0x8024a206 Windows 10 update error. I have removed all the third-party antivirus, and performed a full scan as well as used the Windows Update troubleshooter. But my problem still exists.

How To Fix 0x8024a206 Windows 10 Update Error?

It seems there are some missing/ corrupted files in your system. I have found a few ways to fix the 0x8024a206 Windows 10 update error.

Method 1

a. Open Notepad.
b. Copy and paste the lines given below –
REGSVR32 WUPS2.DLL /S
REGSVR32 WUPS.DLL /S
REGSVR32 WUAUENG.DLL /S
REGSVR32 WUAPI.DLL /S
REGSVR32 WUCLTUX.DLL /S
REGSVR32 WUWEBV.DLL /S
REGSVR32 JSCRIPT.DLL /S
REGSVR32 MSXML3.DLL /S
c. Click on File->Save as.
d. Name of the file – register.bat.
e. Right-click on the file.
f. Run as Administrator.
g. Restart your device, and this will solve the error.

Method 2

a. Open File Explorer.
b. Go to – C:\Windows\ SoftwareDistribution\Download.
c. Inside the Download folder, press Ctrl + A.
d. Then, press Shift + Delete.
e. Open Command Prompt as Admin.

f. Type wuauclt.exe /updatenow, and press enter.
g. Restart your device.
h. Update the Windows now.
