I am facing a problem when I try to turn on Windows 8.1 firewall settings. I receive a prompt with an error code 0x080070424. How do I solve it?

How To Solve 0x080070424 Error In Windows 8.1?

Try out the following methods to fix the 0x080070424 error.

Method 1-

a. Click the Start button.
b. In the search box, type “Windows Firewall” and open it.
c. Click on the Windows Firewall.
d. Select Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall.
e. Click on Change Settings.

Method 2-

a. Press Windows + R.
b. Type services.msc in the Run dialogue box and press enter.

c. You need to find three services in this list: automatic updates OR Windows updates, Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and Workstation.
d. Right-click on the services mentioned above, and select properties.
e. In the start-up type, set it Automatic.
f. Apply-> OK.
g. Restart your device.
