Thanks for writing! Microsoft Defender is an anti-malware constituent. It was released by Microsoft. It is the default anti-malware. Below are the ways to solve the issue with Windows defender update error.

a. Firstly inspect for other security applications that were installed in the system, which will, in return, turn off windows defender. So uninstall other security applications. Explore for the updates in windows defender, Start->programs->defender->check for updates now. If this doesn’t work, then run windows update troubleshooter.

b. Now look for the windows security portal and then download definition updates.

c. Check out the Windows Update website and install the recommended updates. Then start typing %windir%windowsupdate.log, and you can get information about your issue.

d. Always make the Windows defender service as automatic.
