Linux Ubuntu after installing won’t boot

I have installed Linux Ubuntu successfully but after I reboot and remove the Linux Ubuntu DVD in the optical drive the computer won’t boot and saying that no operating system is installed. Is there any special configuration or other process of installing Linux compared to Windows installation?

Linux Ubuntu after installing won’t boot

There are many ways to add a boot menu of Ubuntu with Windows XP. You can add automatically at the time of Windows installation. In this case you need to install oldest Windows first then the new one. That means first you need to install Windows XP and then you need to install Windows vista. In these process Windows XP will automatically add an Ubuntu’s boot menu with Windows XP.

• Or if you want to do it manually then start your computer. When the count down menu comes like this.
• Press [Windows] + [Break] to go towards boot setup menu. Then click the Advance System Setting. A task panel named “startup and recovery” will appear.
• From here you can select your default operating system XP or Vista as you want.

Linux Ubuntu installation is the same with Windows installation, there were just some terms that you cannot clearly understand, but for following the wizard you can successfully install the Ubuntu operating system. When you are using an Ubuntu installation from CD, the installer able to boot on the CD and run the Ubuntu without installation.

Ubuntu CD has an option on start-up either to install or run the operating system using the CD. Choose to install and follow the wizard. But if you can’t still install your Ubuntu try running the Ubuntu operating system on the CD to have been familiarize on the Ubuntu environment.
