The latest version of Mozilla Thunderbird at the moment supports Windows XP Service Pack 3, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.x, and Windows 10 including Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2008 R2.

It requires Intel Pentium 4 or faster processor with SSE2 support, 1 GB RAM, and 200 MB free space. If your operating system is supported, try installing the latest Service Pack. For Windows XP, download Windows XP Service Pack 3. This is the latest and last Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows XP. For Windows Vista, download Windows Vista Service Pack 2.

This is the latest and also the last Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows Vista. For Windows 7, download Windows 7 Service Pack 1. This is the latest and only Service Pack update for Microsoft Windows 7. If installing the latest Service is not helping, it could be your antivirus causing the problem. Try adding Mozilla Thunderbird to your antivirus’ exclusions list.

In your antivirus, go to “Settings” then look for the “Exclusions” section or something similar. Add the EXE file of Mozilla Thunderbird to the exclusions list (thunderbird.exe). After this, start Thunderbird and see what happens.
