you measure the effectiveness of a telecommunication provider by the speed, cost effective and flexible Product and services  and compare them  to other alternative that are provided by other service providers

You can't really measure the effectiveness of a telecommunication provider exactly. But this is some of the characteristics of an effective telecommunication provider. 

1. If they can became the channel master of their supply chain.

2. Scalable Supply chain of infrastructure.

3. If they have alert based SCM management

4. If they improved SCM staffing skills.

5. Reliable.

I’m not sure if there is really an effective telecommunications provider, I mean, in the internet aspect. They are indeed effective in providing services like voice calls and text messaging, no doubt about that. Their text messaging service is very useful especially during calamity seasons where sending advisories and different updates are very important.

They also provide their own way of collecting funds to help affected areas and sometimes other countries. When Japan was hit by tsunami in March 11, 2011 caused by a 9.0 intensity earthquake, the cellular network where I am subscribed to initiated a fund collection campaign to help the people in Japan. We don’t personally send money to the network.

The funds are collected through texts. Each subscriber only needs to send the amount they want to donate through text. The amount will then be automatically deducted to the subscriber’s account since most of the users here are prepaid subscribers. For postpaid subscribers, the amount is added to their next month’s bill.

But when it comes to internet service, not all are effective. Although not all of them provide fast internet service but one thing is common, they are all faulty during bad weather. When the rain starts pouring, the connection also goes down the drainage. I’m not sure if there’s a solution to this since it’s a wireless network.
