Hi Nanisimbolon,

I understand from your words that you are using the default browser downloaded with OS which is either (IE 7,8) either windows vista or windows 7 OS to access share point files. and you receive a message saying “Your client does not support opening this list with Windows Explorer”.

so you need to a software that enables you to update the Web Folders component in Microsoft Windows operating systems.

Download and install the Microsoft Hotfix

This software is small it only 2.0 MB it will not take along time in downloading

Hoping it works for you.
Don't hesitate to contact me if there is any problem

Best Regards,

Nora

This can happen if you open the file in Windows Explorer or you open the file using the “Open with” option and selecting “Windows Explorer” as the target program. Windows Explorer is just a file manager. It is the default file manager in Microsoft Windows. With it, you can simply double-click a file to open it with an associated application.

Its main job is to navigate and explore the contents of the hard drive. It is not designed to open or execute any file like with Microsoft Notepad or Microsoft Office Word. If you try to open a file in Windows Explorer and that file is not associated with any program on your computer, you will receive a message.

If you are trying to open a file from a web server, the file will not open directly in Windows Explorer because the file is not located locally on your computer. In this case, the first thing you need to do is to download the file on your computer and then you can open it in Windows Explorer.

If the file is a text file, you can open it with Microsoft Notepad or other text editor.
