How to repair corrupt Microsoft word document?

I was working on Microsoft Word 2007 this morning.

I saved the document and left the computer and outside for an hour.

My niece was playing in the same room. Unfortunately,he un-plugged the computer cable.

I checked in and restart the computer to continue my pending work.

I opened the document, but it displays the message that my document is corrupted.

How can I repair this?

Is there any solution or not?

Experts please help me.

Hi,

You can download Repair My Word for free.Your Word should also have a feature to repair corrupt documents,

Go to File and Open but do not Open it.

Just select the file name and go to bottom-right of the File Open dialog box and choose Open and repair.

Another solution is to open it in another document, open a new blank document and in the Insert menu choose File, browse to your corrupt file and click twice on it.

How to repair corrupt Microsoft word document?

Yes, this is usually what happens to documents if they are still open and the computer went down because of sudden power outage.

There is a possible way of restoring and fixing it but the only problem is that it is not 100% sure that the file can be recovered. I know how to do it but I really haven’t done it in all of my documents. But you can try it for yourself and hope that it works. Open Microsoft Word then open the file you want to recover by clicking on the Office Button and then Open or using CTRL + O.

Browse to the location of your file then select your file. After selecting your file, click on the side of the Open button to bring down the menu then select Open and Repair. After that, just follow the on-screen instructions that will appear on your screen.

It will guide you on how to repair your file.
