If this error also happens even when using Windows Movie Maker then there is probably something wrong with your hard drive. You can check your drive for error using Windows Scandisk and possibly fix some problems. Click Start, Control Panel, Performance and Maintenance, Administrative Tools, and double-click Computer Management. In Computer Management under Storage, select Disk Management.

Right-click on drive C and select Properties. Go to Tools tab and click Check Now under “Error checking”. Check “Automatically fix file system errors” and click Start. Wait until it is finished and restart your computer. See if the error appears again when using Windows Movie Maker. If the problem continues when using Ulead VideoStudio, try reinstalling it.

Uninstall it then click Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and select Disk Cleanup. Select drive C and click OK. Check “Temporary files” and click OK. Wait until it is finished and restart your computer. Install Ulead VideoStudio again then run it. See if it works. You may also try upgrading your operating system to Service Pack 3.
