Is there a way to find out directly the type of graphics card a computer system possesses without having to do the labor of opening it. Means are there any commands or any alternate way to find out the category of the graphics card that a system has.

Hello,
You can find the information by right clicking my computer and selecting properties then device manager then look for display adapters, clicking on this will reveal your display card and details, also you can right click desktop select screen resolution.
And then advanced settings this will give you additional details about your graphic card.
Please note this answer was given based on the assumption that you are running windows 7.

Genebraldo Regio, Just follow this step.Â
Basically you can Right click My computer icon and select properties>hardware tab > device manager > Display. In XP Start > Accessories > system tools > system information, just select display item or download easy simple software in Internet for Full system information.
