Best Monitor For Graphics Editing

I'm just starting to provide graphics editing to my clients. The computer that I'm using now has a fairly average processor speed for graphics editing. The problem is that I'm only using an old CRT monitor. I'm planning to buy a monitor soon, what do you think will be the best monitor for graphics editing?

Best Monitor For Graphics Editing

Dear Arnold,
Hi Arnold, the best monitor to use in the editing a good graphic design work is the apple new iMAC 27 – inch monitor. The reason for this is that it has LED backlight that will enable the designer to adjust the suitable contrast and brightness. It has a corner to corner glass. This feature gives the monitor a clear bordering for your work. It has up to 2560 by 1440 resolution. Additionally, it has an IPS technology which allows the designer to view the monitor from any angle. More over it has a very speedy processor and adequate RAM.  Finally not forgetting that the monitor has a 27 inches screen! Go for this Arnold.

Best Monitor For Graphics Editing

Hello Arnold.

For graphics editing, you will need a high quality monitor.  The type of monitor that is best suited for graphical work is of the IPS variety.  IPS monitors have wide viewing angles, accurate color reproduction and blacks are deep.  However, IPS panels do not come cheap so expect to shell out at least 1,000 US dollars for one.

Here are a few IPS monitors that have gotten good reviews:

1.  Dell UltraSharp U2711, U3011, and U2410 are very good and seems to give the best value for its price.

2.  NEC MultiSync PA271W is very good but a bit pricey.

3.  HP DreamColor LP2480zx, and LP3065 are also good but is also pricey for its features.

4.  Asus PA246Q offers the best value for your money.  However, it only comes at 24 inches.

5.  Apple LED Cinema Display is excellent but like all Apple products, is very expensive for its features.

Best Monitor For Graphics Editing

Hello Arnold,

For Design and photo editing colour accuracy is very important, LCD now include individual colour adjustment to ensure more accurate colour in print jobs. Graphical and photo editing are best sixes 22”, 24” in the best. Resolution in use is 1920×1080 or 1920×1200. Independent of the video card, with 10, 12, or even 14 bits of precision. Having those extra bits doesn’t automatically mean the monitor displays more colors because Photoshop, the operating system, the video card, and the video port all need to carry more than 8 bits per channel of video data to the display.
