Failed to find steam interface for CFileSystem_Steam

Hello,

For a few days I have this error and I don’t know what it is. I can’t run many mods on steam because of this error message. I am running on Windows 7 (x32) I never had this kind of errors. Also, I have looked for some duplicated “steam.dll” files and nothing found. Can anyone help me to solve this ? Why I have this error right now and not when I have made the installation ?

Failed to find steam interface for CFileSystem_Steam

Hello,

This is a serious case that happens if something is definitely wrong. Uninstalling and then re-installing Steam will fix this issue.

1. Exit Steam.

2. Go to “C:Program Files”. Move the Steam folder out of the path.

3. Then, from Windows’s built-in “Add or Remove Programs”, uninstall Steam.

Be careful of this step because if the uninstallation doesn’t work, you’ll have to run the setup again to repair the installation.

If that doesn’t work, there is a serious medicine.

1. Exit Steam.

2. Go to the following folder “C:Program FilesSteam” or “C:Program FilesValveSteam”. Delete all the contents.

3. Open Registry Editor and navigate to the following directory:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREValve

4. Right-click on “Valve” and then select “Delete”.

Now, re-install your game.

If this process also fails to solve your issue, you’ll have to get the latest Steam installer.
