Is it possible for multiple users to open and use the same Microsoft Access database in real time?

Microsoft access database multiple users

Hi Gilbert,

It is possible to older versions of Microsoft Access database like MS Access 2003. I can be done by splitting your front end from you back end. You can create copy of front end to your users giving them access to the MDE files. You can make changes to the master file and once done, make it available to the users again. Take note that this action can cause corruption in few instances especially for newer version of MS Access. Make sure to have backup before doing this. Take that this requires an intermediate MS Access skill. Good luck.
