Hi Experts,

I got an error message “Your profile could not be opened correctly. Some features may be unavailable. Please check that the profile exits and you have permissions to read and write its contents” while signing in Skype.

This happened on installing ESET Smart Security. I inserted my password and the browser opened with the error message mentioned above. I uninstalled and reinstalled Skype but no result.

Present configuration of my PC is Intel Dual Core, Asus Laptop with Windows Vista Ultimate.

I do not know what is happening.

Please help me.

This is not a problem with Skype but a problem with Google Chrome. This is caused by the sudden update on the browser that corrupted your current profile. A temporary fix is to right click on the Chrome icon and select Troubleshoot everytime you want to use it. Another one is to delete your browser profile (Chrome Settings > User > Delete this user) and create a new one (Chrome Settings > User > Add new user).
