Hello

A lot of peoples have that problem after a fresh install of Ubuntu 11.04. Trying to uninstall or stuffs like that will not help.Because app you want to install is getting with conflict with your system. So to make balance with your app and system  you need to do few simple steps to get your Skype fully worked. Just type some code in terminal. Type these code in the terminal :

 sudo apt-get install libxss1:i386 libqt4-core:i386 libqt4-gui:i356

After that just open old Skype icon and you will see how it is launching. And than you have it your Skype like new. Problem solved with those few steps

Hope i helped to you
