I find Opera 32 bit  to be too slow.  The new looks and features with SDI/MDI interface looks promising as it also supports CSS3 linear gradients. But running it with Java 7.20is a painas it is still in beta.  Would Opera for Windows without Java 7.20 beta 3 still work?

Hi Julian,

Technically speaking, yes. Opera could work without Java installed. But I'm strongly against it because without Java web-rich experience could not be displayed to you.

To me it seems that you are using a beta version of Java itself. Have a look at my version of Java, which is the latest version and very stable. I am also using Opera and it is very smooth and stable for me and everything's working perfectly.

Uninstall your Java version, restart your machine and then install stable Java version.
