Hello,

Someone used my laptop and downloaded mp3codec.exe and installed it after that I have been getting error messages like this whenever I try to move from one document to another in explorer what to do now?

I am using Windows Vista Operating System on my laptop and recently I downloaded mp3codec.exe and installed it. After the installation process I encountered the following error message. This shows the critical error on the screen and difficult to interpret the error message. How can I avoid this annoying issue even I have installed a protection software. Please suggest me any idea to fix it. Thanks in advance.

Hello Eugene,

The error indicates your system is affected by some virus, malware.

First thing you should do is download and run an efficient anti-malware.

I would recommend downloading malware bytes and thereafter scan your system with it. It should help.

You may also try downloading and using Norman Malware Cleaner.

Both these ant-malware scanners use advance algorithms and they can be installed and run on infected PCs.

In case if you need further assistance, feel free to ask.
