USB Port sensitive might damage my device

My mobile phone charger was lost while moving my things to a new house last week. Right now I am charging my Google nexus one via my data cable. But my computer’s USB port is not as sturdy as it used to.

A light nudge would disconnect my device. Would that damage my mobile? Does replacement chargers safe to my mobile phone as well? It is far cheaper than that of the original.

Hi,

Check the output of your charger and if it is match with your USB cable, it is okay to charge. If it is not the correct input and output both your phone and battery can get damaged. There are some cheap chargers available in the market. If it is matching with the output current, its okay to buy. Original accessories are always expensive.

Sometimes USB ports in your computer will not able to charge your phone correctly because required out will not come out for the phone to charge enough. Especially in case of using USB hubs. It will need external power source if you are connecting USB devices to your computer. And check out the computer power plan.

If you are using a laptop it always look forward to power save as every time you don't to stuff in your computer, so change power plan and enable USB ports power on when you are charging the phone. Your mobile phone needs to charge. If you are not charging enough your battery may become dead.

Thanks.
