I am trying to install a software but an error comes with the message “1:— AppAssure Diagnostic Message: Failed to start the service: ReplayAgent – This Application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix the this problem.”

Please help me to resolve this problem.

Hi Tricia klein,

 You have posted screenshot which tells that you are facing problem while installing replay agent I have solution for it.


1] Clear all registry entries for this application from your machine.

2] Restart your computer.

3] Try reinstalling this application once again

4] Done.

By doing these steps you can able to install application again.

Hi Tricia

Reinstall the Replay Agent to rectify this issue. Please refer below mentioned installation steps for your consideration

1. First run the downloaded setup file.

2. On the first screen select “install Replay Agent” & click next

3. Then tick the “I accept the terms in the license agreement”

4. Then click on the “Browse for Key” to enter your license key” & click on “next” button

5. Select the install location & click “Next”

6. Give your username & password & click “Next”

7. Then click on “Install” button

8. Then click on “finish” Button

9. Then restart your computer when you see “You must restart dialog box”
