Hello, I have a Toshiba Satellite C855-2GJ and I want to upgrade my operating system from win xp to win 7. I have searched the net and saw that there are some compatibility problems between Toshiba common modules for win xp and Toshiba win7 common module driver. So, I need to know which is the best way to upgrade my system without anything going wrong?

Hello Kendra,

The first thing you should do is to back up all your important files. You can install Windows 7 to dual boot alongside your Windows XP.

This way you keep all the files on your computer and you can go back to using Windows XP if things don't go well.

You can find an easy step-by-step tutorial here.

Thank you,

Luz M Terry
