Hello

I get the same trouble and I always followed your orders but I find this error message "Update not allowed, the phone contains modified software that cannot be updated."

I need to restore the main software.

But the phone won’t launch it only displays Sony logo as well as a triangle error monitor, after that restart till the battery is drained. I need a solution. Please help.

 Hi Avery Brandonn,

First of all go through Xperia S mobile , follow the steps :

1. Open mobile setting
2. Find master reset in your phone and select reset.
3. Then after completing reset, phone will be restart.
4. Now your phone is ready to update . you can connect to Sony PC Companion. And Try to update

Sony PC Companion ( Xperia S )

First of all you need to hard reset your phone with the relevant code for that particular model.

Once you are done with that you can try to update your phone with Sony companion, and remember one thing never disconnect your phone when update is in progress.

If this doesn't help you can try to take the battery out, charge the phone without battery for 5 seconds and then insert the battery .
