Server Error 500.0 with Error Code 0x80070002

I am getting “HTTP Error 500.0 – Internal Server Error” after I completely install Network Device Enrollment Service to a Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol or SCEP with my 64-Bit Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition Service Pack 2.

The error is occurring when under AD Certificate Services.

The error is also showing an error code 0x80070002 and some possible cause of it.

How can I fix this?

This kind of error occurs when there is wrong on the web site's server.

The following are the workarounds you can use to fix that problem:

You will need to reload the web page by clicking the refresh or reload button,

Or by pressing F5 on your keyboard or can also try refreshing from the address bar again.

You can also wait for some time and come back later.

In case the error still persists, you will need to contact the webmaster, for they may be already knowledgeable about the 500 error but if you suspect they don't, then you can always try to contact the website directly.

Hello Cris,

There are three resolutions that I will suggest to solve the error that you're getting:

  • You can try reloading the web page. To do that, you will just need to click the refresh/reload button,  or you can press F5, or just try out the URL from the address bar again.
  • You can also come back later. This error message is one of the most common HTTP error messages that occurs when checking out for instance during an online purchase so sales are often disrupted. So you can wait for a while and then come and retry later.
  • You can also contact the webmaster. It could be possible that the website administrators already know about the error in case you think they don't, you can always try to contact the website directly.

Regards,

Carl
