Rows n columns in excel

I have once seen my boss working on report on Microsoft Excel sheet all I want to know is that how can he fix the first row or column while working on around 12000 rows of data?

I hope you have been talking about locking a single row/column and can scroll to the remaining data. This is done using a built-in feature of Microsoft Excel (2007 and later version) called Freeze Panes. You can have it by

·         Go to the VIEW tab on your workbook.

·         Choose Freeze Panes on the left side.

·         Here you will be provided some options about what row or column you want to freeze.

Choose the desired location to freeze and click ok.

Rows n columns in excel

Hi,

You can use freeze panes to stop first row stable with scrolling. The way to do this is,

Go to the view tab and in the window group you can see freeze panes

Next click the arrow and select freeze top row.

This will make keep the first row visible while you scrolling.

And also you can use keyboard shortcut for do this job. It is ctrl + home button while you working at the bottom of your worksheet, it will get back you to the first cell of the sheet.
