Can Android play Silverlight video?

Hello,

Ever since I heard from a friend that microsoft is working towards bringing Silverlight to Android, I have been very excited.

I recently bought a new Android phone and I have been wondering how to play Silverlight video on Android. Please tell me whether it is possible and if it is, what I should do to make Android play Silverlight video.

Can Android play Silverlight video?

Unfortunately, the answer is NO. You cannot run any Silverlight video in you android phone. Just like flash, Silverlight content will be able to run on your android in future. It is still in the work right now and hopefully will be launched in the coming year. You can use conversion tools to make the videos compatible to be played in your phone.

Can Android play Silverlight video?

Hi Goldman

There is no Silverlight for Android yet, but I heard way back in Apr-May 2010 that an opensource called Moonlight is under development which could be used on Android devices, and there was no news after that.

Lot of users are waiting for the Moonlight, but the wait is getting longer and longer each day. As of now, there is no app to play Silverlight on Android.
