I have an HTC one m8 and the main feature that puzzled me was the integrated un-removable battery. I want to know why a mobile producers more and more focusing on making batteries un-removable. What are the advantages of such a battery on a mobile phone? I was just checking the new Samsung S6 and this producer also switched to un-removable battery.

Removable batteries vs un-removable ones

These days most of the smart phones are switching to Non-removable battery. People are complaining about not being able to switch between batteries when they run out of one.

The manufacturers say that changing batteries reduces the device’s life span as the dust enters the battery and damages it. Non-removable battery slims down the device, making it look more slick and solid. But such phones also lack Micro SD cards.

People with such phones need to carry battery chargers along with them, in case if their battery charge is low, they can recharge it.
