Refreshing git index has encountered a problem

Hi there,

Today Eclipse gave this error message. Clicking on details buttons the error is below and until now I didn’t found a solution for it. The program worked just fine and I never had an error with. Can anyone help me please to solve this ? Why I have this error ?

Refreshing git index has encountered a problem

If you are using Eclipse without any problem, try reinstalling the program. The error with the git index unable to refresh may be caused by corrupted files. If you still have its installer, uninstall it then install it back and then try opening it again. If you are using a slightly old version, update to the latest version and it might fix the problem.

If you are using the standard edition, you can download Eclipse Kepler 4.3.2 x86. If you need the 64-bit version, download Eclipse Kepler 4.3.2 x64. When installing or when using Eclipse, make sure you have Java Runtime Environment [JRE] installed on your computer because it is required. Another possible cause for the error is an outdated Java Runtime Environment.

In other websites where the site requires Java, you can’t open the page if you don’t install Java Runtime Environment. So that’s how important it is. It will not work without JRE. To download the latest version, visit Java SE Runtime Environment 7 Downloads. Select the version applicable to your operating system. For other Eclipse packages, visit Eclipse Package Solutions.
