Problems with videocardS age 2.0

I obtain sidebars when I try to enlarge a picture outside a 640 x 480 box, although VMR seems good. That's really unsuitable when trying to burn on a Plasma. If someone could advise me about an affordable video card I could use, it would be great! It doesn't need to be in 3D. If 852×480 can be done over the output section of a video card, that would be a plus, as I would be able to route it through my receiver then.  Do you know if there is an alternative for non-linear stretching on Sage TV? It should be some stuff that is equivalent to the Panasonic just mode, though. Can I have this in Sage 2.0??? If I can’t, then this is perhaps not suited for me.

Hello Abelina Sandra,

I will advice that you try using the sage 2.0, although it might have its kind of problems too. The sage output with the PVR sometimes exhibits some issues with the Intel chipsets, and the solution to that might be combining the drivers for pvr-250 and the 350 ones all in the same box.

The PVR-350 seems to work nicely when used with the sagetv 2.0 which should have an OSD on. So I suggest that you try it and see if it will solve your problem. But there is a catch, for it to work well; you will need to be using an nForce 2 motherboard which will work very well with it. So you may want to buy it in case your motherboard is another type, but good thing is that it is not that expensive.
