Printer is unable to print a single copy.

Hi friends,

I have a Canon ImageClass mf4270 s/c/p/f. The problem I am facing with this is that, “The default setting is stuck to 2-sided printing. ” The Copy Setting default field says “Off” for two sided printing but the shortcut button always says “On” that means it will print 2-sided copy.

I have to turn it off manually, each time, for single page printing.

Help me with this problem.

Some printers automatically print both sides of a page (Automatic Duplex Printing) and in such you will have to turn this option off, manually, each time you want to print single side only. Its reverse is “Manual Duplex Printing” in which you have to select option for printing other side. To check whether your printer supports “Automatic Duplex Printing” open your printing configuration option and you can have a clue from following options (as sentences vary in different printers).

  •  Check your printer Manual or consult the manufacturer of your printer.

  •  Click the tabs in the Print dialogue and review the options. If options such as print on both sides of the paper, duplex printing etc. shows then printer supports Duplex Printing

Still you can try below options to tackle with the problem you are facing.

1. Remove software for that printer. Install it over again and pay attention to all options.

2. Open any program on your PC that allows you to print. Click file/print and make sure that your printer is selected. Click the “Properties” button to check the settings of printer. You may be in a position to turn the “Duplex Printing” off from there.

Click OK after you change the settings.
