I make presentation in power point 2007 on my computer. When I insert some high resolution images to a page with some picture effects in it, the original picture color gone blurred. It looks horrible then. How can I stop this blurred system?

Hello Arnel,

As Power Point 2007 has the property to compress images to 96 dpi automatically. This might be the reason that you are experiencing these problems in the resolution of the projected slide shows. In order to avoid this, you have to turn off the auto compress mode before you try to insert images of high resolution. Please find the steps to be followed listed below:

  1. Click on the Microsoft office button on the top left corner of the PowerPoint window and select “save as”.
  2. From the Save As submenu, select Tools, then Compress Pictures and then Options.
  3. Unselect the checkbox pertaining to the label “Automatically perform basic compression on save” from the Compression Settings panel.
  4. Click on OK twice as the pop-ups appear to get back to the Save as panel.

Note: This procedure has to be followed every time you make a PowerPoint presentation using high resolution images.
