Hello Roland,

I have read your concern regarding Microsoft Outlook 2010. You are having problems on how to start the program without encountering an error and you wanted to fix this. Is it right? I hope I got it.

Microsoft Outlook’s usual problem is the same as yours. This error occurs due to its compatibility with the operating system you are presently using. I bet you are now using Windows XP, am I right? This usually happens in Windows XP operating system. You may fix this problem by creating compatibility mode setting towards Microsoft Outlook and current operating system.

To manually configure the compatibility settings, follow these simple steps.

1. Open the file “Outlook.exe” – its standard location is C:Program FilesMicrosoft OfficeOffice14 – since you are using Outlook 2010

2. Once found, “RIGHT-CLICK” the file and go to “PROPERTIES”

3. A new window will appear. Under “COMPATIBILITY” tab, click the check box “Run this Program in Compatibility Mode for” then click “OK”

4. When done, try to start OUTLOOK again.

I hope I am on the right track of understanding your concern and give you a hand to fix the problem. I hope this information is of good help.

Good Luck!

Regards,

Mali
