On my virtual PC I am getting an error message which you can see in the below attached image. Why is this happening? Need suggestions to resolve this problem. Thanks

This error occurs when merging a differencing virtual hard disk into the parent virtual hard disk, the virtual machine
In order to fix the problem you need to do the following
1. Go to the virtual PC console of the affected virtual machine and click on settings
2. Select the hard disk that was merged and click Hard disk 1
3. Click on virtual disk file and then click browse
4. Got to the parent virtual hard disk which is located in the My Virtual Machine folder in the My Documents folder
5. Click open and click ok

You are getting this error message because you do not have the parent virtual hard drive which makes the child hard drive useless. To get rid of the message go to the settings of your console locate the parent virtual hard drive open it and add it. This will fix the problem and you will no longer see the error again.
