Need some help regarding Mozilla Firefox

Hi guys,

I'm constantly getting an error “Firefox is already Running but not responding” ,

I have already updated it to the latest version , please can anyone help me to solve this problem

Close Firefox

Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new ‘Window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, restart your system.

If the problem goes that way, the immediate remedy you can do is to restart your computer.

Aside from restarting your computer, there is other way to prevent this message box from displaying repetitively.

1. First thing you do is right click the Windows Task Bar and hit the Process tab.

2. Choose the firefox.exe entry and hit End Process.

3. A “Task Manager Warning” dialog box will appear and hit Yes.

4. When there are more than one entry found, repeat the process stated above, and then exit the Windows Task Manager.

5. You can now start opening the Firefox normally.

Need some help regarding Mozilla Firefox


That problem normally happens when Mozilla Firefox or any web browser is in error and you close it. The interface closes normally but the EXE file remains continuously running in the background and when you start a new instance of the browser, you will then receive this error that Firefox is already running but you don’t see it anywhere on your screen.

To see if the browser is still running, press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC to bring up the Windows Task Manager then select “Applications” tab. Normally, if the program is frozen, you will see it in this tab and “Not responding” is displayed in the “Status.” To kill the program immediately, select “Processes” tab and look for “firefox.exe,” select it, and then click “End Process.”

Select “Yes” to confirm the action. Repeat searching for “firefox.exe” and terminate all instances. Once all instances of the “firefox.exe” program have been terminated, start Mozilla Firefox again.
