Need to know the basic benefits of Microsoft Silverlight 5
Microsoft Silverlight is a multi-browser, multi-platform add-in for media streaming and shared applications for the web. This is free and available for Mozilla Firefox, Safari, IE for Apple/Mac and Microsoft Windows platforms. Silverlight only runs on Windows Phone 8.1, IPhones, IPad, and Android Phones.
For Hardware, the minimum requirements are as follows.
1. Platform (OS) – 64-bit (x64) or 32-bit (x86), 1.6-gigahertz (GHz) or higher processor.
2. Processor – Intel Core Duo 1.83-gigahertz (GHz) or higher processor.
3. Memory (RAM) – 512 MB.
4. Hard Disk – 850 MB or bigger space availability.
You can use Silverlight in Visual Studio to develop and debug application.
Mono Moonlight is a free software for Microsoft Silverlight for Linux and UNIX platforms. The functionalities of this software is to extend the capabilities of web browsers that is the same with Adobe Flash.
