Here you don’t give the information about your Operating system and amount of RAM. One way to increase the computer performance by increase RAM. If you do not want to increase RAM then defragment the C: drive and shift the files and folder from C: to other drive except operating systems files and folders. You must always try to free more space in C:. Run Disk clean up in C: drive. For this open My Computer, go to C:, right click it and go to Properties and click Disk clean Up. In Disk clean up for C: select all Files to delete and press OK and then restart the computer. If you face same problem again please reinstall your operating system and install Anti-virus immediately.

Follow the step below for your slow laptop:

1. If your hard disk is full especially C drive delete some data and make some free space

2. If you install a lot of program which is not used for a long time please remove or uninstall the program from your computer.

3. You should use a strong antivirus software and keep updating antivirus software regularly.

4. You should scan your computer by antivirus software regularly

5. You should defrag your computer drive regularly and keep your computer free from dust after doing this  follow the list below

Go to start, run and type recent ok delete all data, same way type temp and ok delete all data ,type %temp%ok delete all data type.

If all of the above solutions are not solved for your laptop , you should reinstall your operating system.

I hope  your computer will be faster.

If your system has gotten very slow, there are few things you can do to check what’s happening. First, since the performance has gotten very poor, try checking your system for possible virus infection. Update your antivirus and perform a full system scan. If a virus is found, remove it.

After this, to make sure there are no more viruses left, download Sophos Virus Removal Tool and install it. Once installed, start Sophos then wait until the virus signature database gets updated. When updating is complete, click to scan your machine. Scanning will take some time to finish depending on the amount of data and the size of the drive.

The tool will scan everything on your computer including external devices connected via USB port. When a virus is found at the end of the scan, remove it then repeat the scan over and over until it no longer detects a virus. You can use the tool with or without uninstalling or disabling your current antivirus. Sophos Virus Removal Tools works alongside any antivirus program you may have.

On the other hand, if the computer turns out clean, just try cleaning your system. Download the free version of CCleaner and install it. Once installed, start CCleaner and clean your system. After this, download PC Tools Performance Toolkit and install it. Once installed, start PC Tools then in “Dashboard” tab, click the “1-Click Optimization” button to perform a complete optimization of your system.
