We can connect any file between Microsoft Office 2003 and Moodle 1.6.4 without a problem. We are able to view the file either on a fresh page or within the page it was connected to. The problem occurs when connecting between Moodle and the 2007 version of Microsoft Office. The Moodle symbol can be found in either the course topics or course topic space. Once clicked upon you can either “save/cancel” or “open/save/cancel” depending on whether or not the computer is equipped with the 2007 version of Microsoft Office but there is no way to click on the link. Can you help me figure out how to get MS Office 2007 links to function the same as MS Office 2003 on Moodle? Are the any updates that I need to get for Moodle 1.6.4?
Moodle 1.6.4 and Microsoft Office 2007
Here I want to say about moodle. Moodle is advanced from 1.6.4 to Moodle 1.8.2 about a month ago and have been bearing major execution effects since then. We had discovered that the database queries appeared somewhat inefficient and finally the load achieved a point wherever our database became totally obstructed. Exploiters kept acquiring database connection faults and were unable to apply the arrangement in any way. The upgrade scripts are badly imperfect: fields weren't correctly initialized, keys were not created. We established this by comparing the database table structure of our Moodle with a fresh, 'vanilla' install of Moodle. The create table statements of the fresh install were markedly different to those used by the upgrade scripts. For example, the order of some table columns in a fresh Moodle install are different to those generated in an existing database by the upgrade scripts. The entire database became deadlocked due to damaged or missing indices (another side effect of the defective upgrade scripts): Moodle queries were locking tables in the database faster than the MySQL daemon could free them. This also caused data corruption in the database.
