I have downloaded some movies from a medifire links but after downloading when I tried to play them they seems to be of strange formats like 001 002 etc. Is this a virus doing this?
It is not the virus doing this. 001, 002, 003 are video formats that have been split for easier downloads. You have downloaded the right files. Just do one of the following things in order to have your issue solved,
· Install VLC media player on your system and play 001 002 type files individually (you have to run all files separately).
· You can use HJ Split software which will join all such files into one mkv file.
