Hey,

Following is the step by step instructions. As you have not mentioned which Photoshop version are you using. So, consider reading your user manual to find similar buttons which are going to be used in this post.

  • First off, open the 1st image in new layer of photoshop.
  • Now, open the 2nd image and paste the image as a new later above the previous layer.
  • Now, you can easily save the image by exporting the image from file>export> gif 89 > export >save
  • After this, you should modify the opacity, on the layer which has been placed on the top, to whatever you like.
  • Now, you must export some gif images in order to create a gif animation.
  • Select opacity to 90% and export again after adjusting the opacity to 80%. Now, keep reducing the opacity until you export your last desired image (Mine was exported with 10% opacity).
  • Now, you should be having several frames of two images (exported images).
  • You are done with Photoshop.
  • Now you should use an animation program that can combine gif images to one animated image. (I prefer Gif Construction Set) because it is user friendly.

Thanks

Hi Daniel Nicholass,

Follow these steps:

Open Photoshop > open two pictures (picture1 and picture2) > copy picture2 to picture1 file. In picture1 file, there will be a new layer which contain picture2 > go to menu Windows > Animation > In frame 1, you have picture1 visible, picture2 invisible. In frame 2, you have picture1 invisible, picture2 visible > go to menu File > Save for Web and Devices > leave default values, just give your file a name and choose location to save your file.

Hope this helps
