LogMeIn fails to proceed in my PC

Hi Everyone,

This is the first time in our office to setup with LogMeIn application that got it by downloading into website. By the way I’m using Mozilla Firefox as a main browser of my Windows Vista. Tried to run the LogMeIn application but something surprise me that can’t start the application. I download the application again and installed but an issue is still there. I really appreciated for any ideas. Thanks All.

Cannot download the application. The application is missing required files. Contact application vendor for assistance

LogMeIn fails to proceed in my PC

Hello, you may wish to try a different way to install LogMeIn. Follow these.
  1. First, you have to download the application. You can find the installation file in zip format at here.  https://secure.logmein.com/logmein.zip
  2. Save that zip file.
  3. Open the zip file by click right after download and select. 
  4. Extract those files to your hard drive at C:/LMI. You can also use WINRAR or WINZIP to extract this program.
  5. Open Command prompt:

    • If you are using Windows 7 or Vista, then

      • Click Start and type: cmd in Search.
      • Click right cmd.exe. Choose ‘Run as administrator’.
      • Install LogMeIn LMI by using command prompt.
    • If you are using 32-bit Windows Vista, then  

      • Type cd C:LMIx86 and press Enter. And your position shall be in directory of C:LMIx86.
      • Type ‘logmein install’. Press Enter.
      • If you are confused whether your Windows Vista is a 32-bit version, you shall click Start>>Control Panel>>System Security>>System. You could find the system type here. If you can find nothing, your system shall be 32-bit.
    • If you are using 64-bit Windows Vista, then

      • Type cd C:LMIx64. Press Enter. Your position shall be in directory of C:LMIx64. 
      • Type ‘logmein install’. Press Enter.
      • If the installation is successful, you will get a message. Thus close Command Prompt.
  6. Open LogMeIn. Follow the on-screen instructions. And assign any computer to LogMeIn account.

Hello Rexsan,

So you download the installer for the application so that it will download the program online and install it on your computer? That should be the possible reason why you are experiencing the problem, I mean the site that the installer is trying to get that application from does not have the application, or the installer itself might be corrupt.

Why can't you just try downloading the application itself and then install it manually instead of trying to install it directly from the internet and see if it will respond well that way?
