Hi !

It is a common problem with Android 4.4.1 installed after an update. To avoid this kind of problems go an authorized service to make updates or install a clean new version of Android.

If  you want to reset manually your tablet without calling a professional you will have to do a hard reset on your tablet.

You can make hard reset following the next steps:

1) Shut down the tablet

2) With the tablet closed, press both volume buttons and power button simultaneously. Do not let go until screen opens.

3) It should open a screen where recovery will start and using the volume key down, you can select "wipe data"/ "factory reset"

4) With the Home button select the action ahead and wait.

In Android, there are two ways to factory reset a device: first, using the settings menu and second, using the hardware keys. If your device can still access on-screen menus, go to “Settings” then under “Personal”, go to “Backup & reset”, “Factory data reset”, “RESET TABLET”, and then “ERASE EVERYTHING”. Before factory resetting your device, don’t forget to backup your phone’s data.

But if your device has a problem accessing the menus, you can use the hardware keys. To begin, turn off your device. Once the device is completely off, press and hold the volume down key and the power key simultaneously for about ten seconds or until the image of an Android appears. When the image appears, release the keys.

Press the volume down key twice until “Recovery mode” appears on the screen. Next, press the power key to restart in Recovery mode. In Recovery mode, you should see an Android with a red triangle. Here, press the power key and volume up key simultaneously. Next, use the volume keys to navigate and select “wipe data/factory reset” then press the power key to Enter.

Navigate and select “Yes – erase all user data” then press power to Enter. Press the power key when wipe data/factory reset is complete to reboot the device. See if this works.
