Jumping Text in MS Word

Asked By 10 points N/A Posted on -

In my document that I am doing right now, I am experiencing jumping text every time my mouse hovers from here to there, I get irritated with it and I want it to stop so I can proceed with my work.

So, how can I stop my document work from text jumping?

Please Answer.

Thank You.

Jasper the solution for your  query is as simple as typing and saving the text in document as it is the problem that occurs mainly due to some error but manually also we can do that by clicking control followed by direction button.

You just close the doc file by saving so that the data may be safe and one more thing to remember is that you just save the document and close the complete office application and restart again.

Now the issue must be fixed and if it still continues then the good option is to uninstall and install a fresh copy of windows os or another by backing up the files you needed.

Now you can easily fix the issue by installing a fresh copy of office and ensure that no file is being missed so that it might not be worked properly.

Thank you.

I can understand your frustration and there is something we can check to make sure this does not continue. We need to look at the following areas and make sure something hasn't gotten changed by accident. First go o the "Options" box on the "tools" menu, here we need to make sure the "View" tab is selected. Now click on the "Object Anchors" box and choose "ok". Next we need to go to the "Layout" tab and click on the advanced button.

On this screen we need to make sure the "lock anchor" box is selected and then choose "ok". These last options are really important when working with AutoShapes. AutoShapes can really cause text to jump around if things are not setup right in the beginning. You should be able to move around now without your text jumping round.
