Do you think Apple is providing more applications that other OS venders ? When I was searching in google some where I read like 70% of apps are provided by Apple only ? What types of apps does it provide ?
Currently Apple holds 82% market share in apps, a very dramatic thing happened in 2011 when the apple kept loosing it market share and in the 1st quarter of 2011, Apple posted 59 percent market share but in later quarters it showed a 132% rise in apps sale and regained its 82%.

As of May 2013, since the introduction of more Android devices, Android apps have been frequently programmed and introduced in the market. Google's app store has been a frequent stopover for Android user's to get the apps they need. Ranging from games to utilities, the Google store has been getting billions of app downloads recently. At this rate, it is expected that Google will outrun Apple by October in terms of apps utilization.
