I just installed nba 2k13 and keeps on crashing on startup.  Looks like a memory issue.  My computer runs on xp, 1G RAM, 1G nvidia video card.  Is it allowed to mem patch error 2013 version of NBA 2k without compromising the system?

Hello! I'm an NBA lover too and i faced the same issue. Not a memory issue cause your 1 GB ram is enough to run it smoothly. It's because you have an outdated version of DirectX. Updating it would fix it. Here's the link DirectX Runtime.

If your still the same problem try updating your NVIDIA drivers to the latest beta.
