I have been battling out with our local Internet SP here, they are telling me that my max speed I am getting for my plan is 2MBPS, but I am not satisfied, my browsing speed is very slow, I know its non PC related since its brand new and clean from Spyware.
What is the best test that I can show to them that I am getting this amount of upload or download speed? They always tell me that the speed in my area is great.

Hi,
Â
If you can help us by telling us what is your Internet connection setup? Are you using DSL? Cable? Or WiFi from the PC you are using.
Â
There could be a lot of factors affecting your Internet speed, let's just say there is no problem with the computers you are using. Is the cabling new? Is the crimping on the RJ45/Ethernet cable properly done? No damage on your cables? Ethernet ports should be rust free.
Â
Cables should be tightly fitted. For WiFi, there should be no interference or blockage from the modem. There is a maximum coverage for WiFi conx. If all these are not an issue, check your Internet speed in some websites that checks bandwidth speed like www.speedtest.net.Â
Â
There is a test I made from a computer having a connection issue. Please see SS.
